Site dedicated to sheetrock recall issues
As more information becomes available we will add it
Sheetrock, drywall, or wallboard, whatever you call it there are recalls due to Chinese material that leaks sulfur compounds into the air. These compounds can corrode copper, create a rotten egg smell, and tarnish silver dishes, picture frames, and electronic components. Many people have found that the wiring in homes and air conditioning systems have been corroded beyond repair due to China drywall problems, and this drywall releases toxic chemicals more quickly in humid conditions, though it has been installed across the country, and especially in places where new homes were built during the housing boom or after Hurricane Katrina and Rita. If you believe you have bad drywall, get it tested and find out if your home was part of the settlement.
